About This Role
Position Overview
As a Cloud Solutions Architect at Softek, you will design and implement cloud infrastructure for federal agencies across AWS GovCloud and Azure Government. You will lead cloud migration efforts, architect scalable and secure solutions, and ensure compliance with FedRAMP, FISMA, and agency-specific security requirements. You will serve as the technical authority on cloud architecture decisions and guide engineering teams on best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect cloud solutions on AWS GovCloud and Azure Government platforms
- Lead cloud migration planning and execution for federal workloads
- Design infrastructure-as-code templates using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep
- Ensure compliance with FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST 800-53 security controls
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams
- Optimize cloud costs and performance across multi-account environments
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering
- Deep expertise in AWS or Azure (certifications preferred)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep)
- Strong understanding of federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification
- Experience with FedRAMP authorization processes
- Knowledge of zero-trust architecture principles
- Prior work with federal agencies on cloud modernization initiatives
