Position Overview
As a Business Analyst at Softek, you will serve as the bridge between government stakeholders and technical teams. You will elicit, document, and manage requirements for federal IT modernization projects, ensuring that technical solutions align with mission needs. You will facilitate workshops, create user stories, and work within Agile frameworks to deliver value incrementally to federal agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit and document business and technical requirements from federal stakeholders
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flow diagrams
- Facilitate requirements workshops, sprint planning, and stakeholder demos
- Analyze existing systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities
- Maintain requirements traceability matrices and project documentation
- Support UAT planning and execution with end users
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a business analyst on IT projects
- Strong skills in requirements elicitation and documentation
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
Preferred Qualifications
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Certified Scrum Product Owner certification
- Experience with federal agencies or government contracting
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements
